How we work with our clients
We are a curious bunch, meaning that we do things a little differently than most service providers. In our experience, an office isn’t always the best place to discover yourself or to learn, so we offer a mix of therapeutic and reflection approaches and just as importantly, a mix of service locations: the bush, our office or studio, online, or your home.
We also work in partnership with animals, particularly horses. Horses are herd and prey animals, which means that they are experts at picking up feeling states of the animals and people around them, and respond to these emotional states immediately and honestly. In this way, they function as an emotional mirror for people.
By interacting with the horse, a person will become more aware of their inner states, and will learn to regulate these states in order to be able to develop a relationship with the horse. If a person approaches a horse with anger, the horse will respond by shying away or becoming stubborn. Horses never hide their emotions. Because of these qualities, horses can help people work through a variety of psychological issues.
We will work with you to discover the best approach to meet your needs, and the best location to help you feel safe and supported to learn and grow.
The quality of our services to you is assured through our registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, and eligibility for or membership with of one our professional bodies such as the Australian Psychological Society, the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance, and the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA).
